Bill of Sale

A bill of sale is short and does one thing: it records that ownership of specific property passed from a named seller to a named buyer, on a date, for an amount. The buyer keeps it as proof when registering an asset, insuring it, or selling it on.

Its value sits entirely in the identifying detail. Make and model, the serial number, and the wording describing condition are what make the document useful two years later. A line reading one used van is worth very little.

The condition and warranty wording is the part both parties want stated rather than assumed, because it sets what either side can raise after the item has been collected.

Equipment tends to move in batches when a business closes a site or refreshes a fleet, so the item rows repeat: one buyer, one date, one signature block, however many assets are on the list.

Generate this document via the API

One template plus changing data is the whole point. The list of blanks above is the contract, and every new set of values comes back in the same layout: fill it in the app, hand someone a form link, or POST the JSON and get the file straight back.

The request below carries this page's own values, so it runs as soon as the template exists in your workspace. Swap the values for yours and the response is your document.
